We currently have a full-time vacancy for an Assistant Manager at our newest Showsite based at Tates Garden Centre, Paradise Park in Newhaven. The site is currently under construction and will be open in Summer 2024.

The role will involve managing the day-to-day running of a large garden building showsite whilst undertaking a range of administrative and sales tasks. The Showsite Assistant Manager will be responsible for ensuring that Malvern’s high standards of presentation and service are maintained, working with the Manager to help to oversee a sales team and to meet sales targets.

We are very flexible in terms of working arrangements; however, the applicant must be able to work from 9am to 5pm and willing to work weekends, approximately 5 days per week is required. The ideal candidate must:

  • Have bucket-loads of enthusiasm!
  • Be confident and assertive
  • Be able to provide expert product knowledge to our customers
  • Develop exceptional relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and recommendations
  • Have proven experience in driving sales and meeting sales targets
  • Be commercially aware
  • Have at least 5 years retail sales experience
  • Maximise show site profit and achieve financial targets
  • Be target driven and tenacious, with a proven track record of achievement
  • Be motivated and enthusiastic at all times
  • Have good organisational skills
